Here I am going to write about the benefit of the Rebounding Exercise. I wanted to mention the really cool benefit of rebound exercise. NASA has done quite a bit of research on rebounding and I am going to put some links down below but it is actually quite fascinating that they are doing research on rebounding because what they found is when you are in space without gravity you start losing your bone tissue and your muscle tissue. So they are trying to come up with ways to counter that but the rebounding exercise is jumping on a trampoline.
Now if you are going to do rebounding and you are a little bit older I would always recommend doing it with some type of support structure. So you can hold yourself because you do not want to be jumping on this trampoline and jumping off and you know falling or injuring yourself. But there are quite a few benefits to rebounding exercise. It is convenient it improves your mobility your posture your balance your gait. It improves the fear of falling and can even reduce your risk of osteoporosis. But I think the biggest benefit has to do with this right here stimulating the lymphatic system.
What is the lymphatic system?
So let me make this very very simple what is the lymphatic system? You have the blood vessels throughout the body, the vascular system right. And they go from large vessels to smaller vessels to eventually to tiny little blood vessels called capillaries in the tissue. Now in that same tissue next to the capillaries. You have the beginning of the lymphatic system. Some of the plasma in the blood leaks out into the tissues and it goes right into the lymphatic system.
So the fluid in the lymphatic system called lymph is made up of plasma and several other things that I do not want to get into at this point. And then the lymph system travels through the body and then eventually dumps back into the vascular system the venous part of the vascular system. So it is this whole continual loop.
Best Two Function of Lymphatic System
So one function of your lymphatic system is to act as a backup for your vascular system. So if there is too much blood for example the lymph system can handle that overflow. But the thing you need to know about your lymphatic system is. It does not have a pump like the vascular system does so. It needs movement or else there is no pump. The lymph becomes stagnant or congested.
1. Support the immune system
The two big purposes of the lymphatic system are number one to support the immune system. Because you have all these lymph nodes and you have all these t cells and b cells that help to capture and consolidate pathogens that have invaded the system and deal with them, kill them. And just disregard them as well as to help recycle old red blood cells and damage red blood cells and recycle them that is what the spleen does. The spleen is a very large lymphatic node. And the other function of the lymphatic system that a lot of people are unaware of is that. It helps to transport fat to the body.
When You Eat Dietary Fat What Happened To Your Body ?
So when you eat dietary fat and it goes into your intestines. It goes directly into the lymphatic system, not into your blood vessels fat in water do not mix. So the body has to package this fat in a way that can be transported easily through the system. So one way that it packages the fat is through something called a kylo micron. The word kylo means juice and microns mean small particles. So a kylo micron is very simply the grocery bag that carries the fat to the various parts of the body for both energy and as a precursor or material to build hormones especially adrenal hormones to counter stress.
What Does Happen to our Hormones ?
All of the hormones in the gonads, testosterone, estrogen, progesterone are made from fat and cholesterol. The cellular membranes need fat, the nervous system and the brain needs fat. Bile comes from cholesterol vitamin D comes from cholesterol. So in other words this fat is very very important to supporting body tissue as well as giving you energy. And one very common thing that I hear over and over and over when people start doing rebounding exercise is their energy goes straight up and vertical.
I think it has a lot to do with the fat being more activated in the lymphatic system. So the biggest benefit of rebounding exercise has to do with supporting the immune system. And helping the transportation of fat through the chylomicrons.
2. Help The Transportation of Fat Through The Chylomicrons
Now as a little side note since we are on the topic of chylomicrons. I want to just help you understand this a little bit better when you get a cholesterol test you usually get your total cholesterol. You get LDL, HDL right now. Let’s take a look at this a little bit deeper when someone talks about LDL or HDL. They are not talking about cholesterol. They are talking about the carrier bag.
Details Of Lipoprotein
The grocery bag that is carrying the fat through the body and so we have different densities of these bags different sizes and different densities. So when we are going from a kylo micron that is the largest bag. It is also called ultra low-density lipoprotein and they are calling it ultra-low. Because it is basically filled with fat and very little protein. And if we look at the relationship between this all the way down to HDL. You can see this is a lot smaller, this is the densest and this is the least dense. So this has the least amount of fat the most protein. This has the most amount of fat and the least amount of protein.
When We Go This Direction, More Dense More Protein Fewer Lipids
So when we go this direction more dense more protein fewer lipids. Why because these are carrier bags that are going to be dumping off the fat into various parts of your body. So we go from a cola micron which is an ultra low-density lipoprotein to an LDL that means very-low-density lipoprotein. And then there is a little extra step right here called intermediate-density lipoprotein and eventually, we get to the low-density lipoprotein
And most people think this is the bad one but there are actually two types of LDL. There is one that is more pathogenic and one that is non-pathogenic. If you are interested I put some links down below about that.
And then we get the HDL which is a carrier bag that takes the cholesterol from the body tissue and brings it back into the liver. These other ones are going to the liver anyway. The main thing you need to know about rebounding is it is really good for your lymphatic system especially if you have lymphedema.
Why You Must Start Rebounding, As a best Excercise?
All around the 10 top reasons why I think rebounding is a must and you should include it in your life. I love rebounding for so many reasons – 10 of which I am going to share with you in this articl
1. It Stimulates The Flow of Lymph
So the number one reason that I love to get The benefit of Rebounding Exercise and that I do rebounding is that it stimulates the flow of lymph in my body. So lymph fluid is effectively the sewage system for your body. And unlike the blood, which has a pump – the heart – to pump it around, the lymph fluid does not have that pump. It needs movement and deep breathing in order to get it moving. And rebounding is such a great way to start moving that lymph first thing in the morning.
In fact, any time of day, especially if you have been sitting, or stationary for a long period of time. Just rebounding for a few minutes will help move that flow of lymph and expel all those toxins, and help energise you. First thing in the morning and at any time of day. So the number one reason why I love rebounding is that it stimulates the flow of lymph.
2. Boost The Immune System
Number two reason that I love rebounding is that it helps boost the immune system, as does really any exercise, but in particular, rebounding, because you’re moving that lymph fluid around. Because you’re creating that g-force as you go down – and it is an even-force as you go down and as you go up – it really helps build that immune system up.
3. It Really Helps Improve Your Balance
The third reason benefit of the Rebounding Exercise is that I love rebounding is that it helps your balance. Because when you first get on the rebounder – especially the one that I use, which is a Bellicon one, which is kind of with bungee cords – it is a little bit more unstable than a traditional rebounder in the beginning. It really helps improve your balance which, as we all know, is vital. If you do not have good balance you are more likely to fall, you are more likely to twist something, you are more likely to injure yourself in some way. So having a good balance is absolutely imperative.
4. Strengthening Your Core, Keeping You Stable
And number four, the fourth reason why I love rebounding, four is all about the core – your stomach muscles, you back muscles – everything seems to kind of be worked out a little bit more when you are rebounding. And you find, actually, after a period of time that you will be strengthening your core. You might even see some definition coming back into your muscles. There that you did not see for a long time just because of the way the exercise works. And it really moves and forces everything in your body to work hard, but without actually feeling like you are working hard.
So number four is all about the core. It helps strengthen that core, keeping you stable, which is really the foundation for a lot of your mobility, a lot of your exercise, a lot of your capabilities.
5. It Helps Strengthen Your Heart
The fifth reason that I love rebounding is that it helps strengthen your heart. Just like any exercise, you are working out, you start pumping blood around your system, you start moving, you start sweating, you start panting a little bit – so it is really working out your heart muscles. You are getting a good workout from it.
6. It Is Soften The Joints
Reason number six is because it is soft on the joints. It is easy on the joints. You go running, or you play squash, or you go cycling even – you do anything, that’s going to be an impact. You’re likely to impact your joints, put a lot of force and pressure through your joints and that can, over time, be detrimental to your health and your fitness because you are putting so much impact. Whereas with rebounding – especially like I say, on a Bellicon rebounder which has got bungee cords instead of springs – it is so soft and it is so amazingly easy and effortless that your joints really do not feel the pain.You are just kind of sinking into the rebounder and popping back up, and your joints do not feel any pain and it’s really good for the joints.
7. Make Your Body More Flexible
Reason number seven that I love rebounding is that it is flexible. And by flexible, I do not mean, it increases your flexibility as such, but what I mean is that you can do it when it is raining outside and you do not feel like going for a run. You can do it while watching TV. And you can do it even while on the phone with your friends, which is often what I do. You can do it whilst it is – you know, first thing in the morning, and you do not really want to be kind of running, or do not really want to be doing whatever another exercise. It is just so easy, you just jump on and you just let it kind of take care of itself, really.
So it is really flexible. You can put it in your office, you can put it in your living room, in your kitchen, in your garage, you can take it with you to the beach – whatever you want to do, it is really, really flexible. So I love rebounding because it allows that flexibility when it is raining when it is dark when it is winter when it is cold when I have only got 2 minutes to do something. It allows me to be flexible in my approach to exercise and get something done.
8. It Helps Burn More Calories
Reason number eight that I love rebounding is that, like many exercises, it helps burn calories. It helps you get your step numbers up during the day. For me, I know that if I go rebounding for 10, 15 minutes, I am going to add another 2, 3, 4,000 steps to my daily total. And really we want to be aiming for, well, minimum 10, but I say a minimum of 12,000steps a day. I now have one of these little devices on my wrist which helps measure that step count and calorie burn.
And by rebounding – especially if you are working from home, or you are in an office a lot, or you are in your car a lot, or whatever you are doing- it helps really pull up those step numbers and really burn those calories. So that is reason number eight – I love it because it helps burn calories.
9. It Helps Your Clarity, Your Thinking, Your Focus
Reason number nine that I love is that it really helps your clarity, your thinking your focus. When you’re on the rebounder, something happens to your brain waves that really just elevates them from where they might be – where you might be stuck on a problem, or you might be stuck on something that you are doing – and you get on the rebounder for 5,10, 15 minutes and you let that go, and your thinking just shifts to a whole new level. So reason number nine is that it really does improve your thinking. It helps you find creative solutions to problems and it just elevates you to a whole new level.
10. It is Fun To Bounce Around
And reason number 10 that I love rebounding is that it is fun. We forget how much fun it is just to bounce around. When we were kids, we used to be on trampolines, we used to run about, we used to climb trees, we used to have this free-for-all attitude. And now we can not do it. I mean, you want to go for a run, you feel like you have got to run sensibly, you can not run all crazily. Or you want to do something outdoors, you can not do it in the way maybe that you want to express yourself.
With the rebounder though, you are just in the confines of your own home, your own space – you can behave as silly as you want. You can put some music on, put some headphones on, do whatever you want to do. Move like there is no tomorrow. You do not have to have a routine, you don’t have to follow anyone, you can just bounce around to your heart’s content. And you will find, after just a few minutes on that, even if you were feeling down, you’re going to feel so energised, you are going to feel so happy and invigorated and ready to take on the day. It really is the best way to start a day and, indeed, to continue a day.
